Hotel Aguas Claras Member Of The Cayuga Collection - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

We were moved halfway through our stay to a lower-grade hotel without prior notice, frustrating. The communication about this switch was nonexistent, leading to confusion and packing woes in the middle of our holiday. The new bungalow didn't have the same amenities, and the overall experience was significantly less pleasant than the start of our trip.

The outdoor yoga classes offered every morning in the open air studio were a fantastic way to start the day!

A cozy jungle retreat

Every morning, we were greeted with a warm baked treat. The outdoor shower was a highlight, surrounded by lush greenery and serene sounds.

Thankfully, the staff kept their spirits up despite the challenges.

The outdoor shower was amazing. Staff helped with arranging bike tours, fun. Not enough options for themed dinner nights. A bit disappointed there weren't more local activities offered at the hotel.

Fine bungalows with perfect attention to detail

The pool area was serene, complemented by excellent cocktails, made our afternoons relaxing. The staff were pretty good, especially on our special occasion-helping us celebrate it perfectly with customized experiences. An area for improvement would be the noise levels from the nearby road, as it sometimes interrupted the tranquil atmosphere.

The two-bedroom bungalow was fine, and we loved the gorgeous outdoor shower and private sloth viewing outside our window.

We had an amazing stay, enjoying the beautiful outdoor shower and delightful evening treats every night. The cocktails were top-notch, but be aware the pool area gets quite busy.

The garden is beautifully maintained, and having monkeys in the trees added a unique touch to our stay. We enjoyed a good breakfast each morning, with excellent smoothie bowls. The bikes were unavailable , which limited our ability to explore the area freely. While the location is serene and close to activities, it's worth noting that the walk into town is a bit longer than expected.

fantastic park views and easy access to local beaches

The hotel is just a short walk away from beautiful Playa Chiquita beach and less than 500 meters from the vibrant Jaguar Reserve Foundation. The friendly staff offered excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities that really enhanced our experience.

The staff was friendly. Always accommodating! Loved the fabulous breakfast. Especially the fresh fruit and juices. The bungalow was pristine and beautifully designed.

Lush foliage and modern decor make it feel like a luxurious jungle getaway. The beach is a short walk away, and the pool is stunning. Extensive menu choices, with high-quality cuisine. The staff is polite and service-oriented.

The hotel could have been more welcoming; there wasn't any representation throughout my stay.
